Patrząc z dzisiejszej perspektywy, jest to niezmiernie smutne nagranie, kiedy wie się, że artyści śpiewający te pieśni i wspominający czasy wielkiej wojny oraz drogę ku niepodległości, nie wiedzą, że za 6 lat czeka ich podobny los, a wielu z nich zginie lub zostanie rozsianych po świecie. Dziękuję, za to muzyczne wspomnienie w przeddzień 85. rocznicy wybuchu II wojny światowej.
Wydaje się, że to właściwa perspektywa i słuszne, historyczne ujęcie - wydarzeń i wrażeń. Dziękuję za nie - bo też i tak ładnie wyrażone.

Tak wiele razy słuchałem tej piosenki w wykonaniu pani Skarżanki... I za każdym razem dziwnie ściska mnie w gardle... Nadzwyczajna piosenka, nadzwyczajne wykonanie....
Podobne miałem wrażenie i ja, gdy "instalowalem" tę rzecz w zupełnie nieznanym mi wówczas środowisku, czyli tu - 17 lat temu.
Faliszewski w roli onieśmielonego adoratora brzmi jak inna odoba. To nagranie ukazuje jak ogromny talent miał w sobie ten artysta, co przekładało się na dużą liczbę miłośników jego śpiewu.
Faktycznie - umiał zaśpiewać wszystko: od, początkowo, operetki, poprzez tanga i walce aż do zabawowych numerów "nowogródzkich". Plus wszelakie chórki i.... Lonory... nie wiem czy pełna dyskografia Jego byłaby możliwa, bo przecież jest jeszcze całe ...powojnie !

If I'm not mistaken the German title of this song is "Schenk mir dein Lächeln, Peppina" but this Polish recording is well worth listening to !

This is a song from late 1930s. repeated here - as an evergreen - in late 1970s style, which you have rightly discovered ! Sława Przybylska has been our very important vocalist with an ambicious repertoire; actually as an old lady, she still is.
There are so many wonderful melodies that seem to have been forgotten, but JP brings them back to life. Thank you!

It is heart-wrenching that a splendid tango of this also has such a dark, sad side to it due to war atrocities. This being said, thank you for presenting nonetheless sharing the present, impressive performance of this precious composition.
Those early years of Miss Gamez especially attract me: when a young girl, with all typical Argentine spirits, underwent slo0wly a process of transition into a star of a typical Spanish taste and genre. I like what was her earlier nature.

Co za głos! Piękna muzyka. Niemniej historia tej starszej pani dowodzi, że to, co jednych zachwyca i bawi, u innych może przywoływać traumatyczne wspomnienia. Często, gdy słucham przedwojennych nagrań, zastanawiam się nad losem ich autorów czy wykonawców. Myślę też o moich dziadkach, świecie ich młodości tak różnym od mojego.
To wszystko zazwyczaj ma bogatą swoją historię, bo i charaktery byly niebanalne i czas miał co im zaoferować - nie zawsze łagodnie i "po myśli". Ta artystka ciekawi mnie bardzo, bo to młodzieńczy zryw artystyczny, rodem z B. Aires, powoli wrastający w kulturę hiszpańską.

What a special sound this record has, the recording seems to have been made in a huge big hall with a strange hollow sound, it sometimes even sounds like an acoustic recording? In any case, many thanks for this unusual listening experience Jurek!
I was shocked to have heard it for the first time...! But such was sound of most of her first recordings made for Regal in Madrid then. It must have been a huge, empty hall, like the interior of the church. You may check it here with other titles, but this one is especially profound in this aspect.
